Baby Bean

Monday, September 16, 2013

So, baby girl is here. Here are some very clear pictures of her. As you see she had a blood clot in her umbilical cord, and I needed to get an emergency C-Section.

She's here, she's now healthy and that's all that I can ask for.  More posts coming soon.

Not as Blurry...

So she's been here for a few days now, and I must say I'm in love all over again. C-Sections suck, but I would do it all over for her again and again.

When I get settled in, I will write how it all went down. Nope it's not pretty either.

It's Blurry, It all was, but She's HERE!

Saturday, September 14, 2013

After an emergency C-Section she's here. As you can tell, the DSLR was either on Manual mode or Papa was oh so nervous! I had to be asleep for the whole thing because it happened so fast.

Happy Birthday Ana 9-12-2013!!!

39 Weeks: Pregnancy Update

Monday, September 9, 2013

So, I'm assuming that this is the last post of my pregnancy. I'll be getting induced to to her size. They are afraid that she's so big, so I wont be able to get it done if I wait any further.

Symptoms:  I've been having these horrible headaches and dizzy spells. I went in for a non-stress test and everything seems fine. I'm having a ton of braxton hicks contractions.

Fetal Movement: It feels as if she's head down. I feel kicks, but not as much as I think I should. Doctors don't seem too concerned.

Cravings: None yet

Sleep: What?

Symptoms: Migraine headaches, backache, I can't breath much, loss of appetite. thirst for ice water, sore ribs.

Sleep: It just sucks, that's the only way to put it.

Cravings: None

Fetal Movement: She's head down, a lot of kicking and waves.

Underlining, Interlining, Give and Feed Dog

Thursday, August 29, 2013

Underlining: This is a lining used to add body to what you're making.

Interlining: This is lining that you will use to add warmth to what you're making.

Give: It's more or less giving your garment some elasticity.

Feed Dog: It's the teeth under the plate on your sewing machine. They move your fabric along while you sew.

35, 36, 37 Weeks Pregnant

Monday, August 26, 2013

Well I've been feeling like utter crap. I'm so winded, hot, cranky and all the above. This summer is way too hot, and I'm melting.

Symptoms: Cranky, hot, thirsty, tired, a lot of rib pain, back is killing me, killer heartburn, crazy vivid dreams.

Cravings: None

Fetal Movement: A lot of moving: wiggling, stretching, jumping.

Sorry I haven't updated much, I haven't felt this bad since the beginning! I'm looking forward to having this little bambina, hold her in my arms, and to get my body back.

Baby Girl is Almost Here. Work in Progress

Bias, Bodkin, Acrylic, Seam and Tracing Wheel

Thursday, February 21, 2013

Bias: This is the part of the fabric that is the most stretchiest. It runs diagonally.

Bodkin: You can use this instead of a safety pin when pulling through elastic or cording.

Acrylic: It's fabric made out of oil/ petroleum.

Seam: When two pieces of fabric are sewn together.

Tracing Wheel: It looks like a pizza cutter, but its more dull. It's used to transfer marking from the pattern to the fabric.
